Camels were one of the means of transportation in the Holy Land. If you recall, the three wise men of Babylon used them in their travel to Bethlehem to witness the birth of Jesus Christ. They are ever since a symbol of the little town of Bethlehem.
This olive wood hand carving of this set of camels is made in the same city that received the three Wise Men two thousand years ago. The heights of the camels are roughly (from head to floor) 9, 8 & 6 inches. They all carry weter Jugs on their backs. Click on the photo to see enlarged image.
